Steps Foundation came into existence in the year 2016. Since its inception, it has been involved in alcohol and drug abuse prevention and treatment. Although STEPS had been mooted since 2015, it was only in April 2016 that a group of like-minded individuals formally decided to form a voluntary not-for-profit organization. It was started with the sole aim in the mind to provide world-class care and treatment to addicts who are going through the worst phase of their life. We believe that an addict can be cured with counseling, motivation, and therapies instead of giving punishment. We have been in this field for more than a decade and being in this field for such a long time, we have a better command of how to cure an addict and guide them to live a fulfilling life.

I am Prasant Narayan Dash, Founder and Managing Trustee at Steps Foundation.
It’s been more than a decade since I am on this field. I started this organization with the vision to transform the lives of people who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, etc. but are unable to get rid of those addictions. With the increasing availability of drugs and alcohol in recent times, more and more people are getting into the trap of addiction.
Once you get into addiction, your life becomes miserable. You try to find the solution but you can’t. Not only does the addict, but also the family members of the addict suffer from it. What I personally feel is that addiction can definitely be cured if the addict or victim is counseled properly and given the right therapy.
My entire motto is to persuade them to live a life full of purpose and happiness.
